You were there when I cried
Raised me up when I fell
Being patient when you can't
Held me up when I was down

I didn't care about your feelings
I didn't care about what others think
I didn't know it affected you that much
I didn't bother to ask

You kept quite preferred not to speak
Deep inside I knew you were hurt
I still didn't bother to ask
I let it pass

All the time I thought you weren't there
All the time I thought you didn't care
All the time I thought you were selfish
All the time I was wrong and naive

All the time you cared
All the time you shared
All the wrong I said
Why didn't you react?

Now the answers are right here with me
The time I held my own
I promise there is always you
Deep in my heart my mother my own
