I am a little bit disappointed that Nurul made her first mistake in her weekly spelling test in school this week. She has never got her spelling wrong since day 1.
I asked her why. She kept quite and didn't breathe a word. I knew she felt bad too. Her classmates may have gotten the week's spelling all correct.
She spelt 'scurry' as 'scury'; short of one 'r'. I thought she could maintain her 'no mistake' record throughout the year but I was wrong.
I suspect she was over-confident and wanted to finish quickly.
I am getting over it now though disappointment is still lurking somewhere at the back of my mind. I guess it's a mistake afterall. I hope she will be more careful in future.
I will get over this.
It's ok.. with the mistake she will know that she shouldn't be over-confident. she will make sure that she will have the confident but keep to a level that it won't reach over..
